Vogue Apartments Cladding Replacement: A Benchmark in Safety, Coordination, and Community Collaboration

In a major milestone for building compliance and resident safety, the iconic Vogue Apartments, a prominent mixed-use development comprising residential, retail, and childcare facilities, has successfully completed a large-scale cladding remediation project.

The project involved the full replacement of non-compliant cladding with solid aluminium Mondoclad panels, ensuring the building now meets the highest standards of fire safety and regulatory compliance. Completed in December 2024, this transformation not only enhanced the safety of the structure but also improved its long-term durability and visual appeal.

The scope of the project was uniquely complex due to the building’s diverse functionality. With over 500 residential apartments, 20 active retail tenancies, and a fully operational childcare centre, the remediation works demanded meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and logistical precision.

OCX saw the project from start to finish. With significant decisions made by the owners’ corporation, we had to bring our A-game. There were exhaustive discussions around funding, project management, statutory obligations, compliance matters, and resident engagement. Special resolutions were passed, and the project was completed under budget before the estimated date of completion, making it a massive success from start to finish.
