Approved by the committee and expertly designed by the talented team at Angelucci Architects, this upgrade significantly enhances security, accessibility, and aesthetics. The project also includes the addition of a secure office space within the foyer, providing greater convenience and safety for residents.
Why Was This Upgrade Needed?
The mailbox area is a critical access point in the building, making its security essential for protecting residents’ mail and personal information. Unfortunately, there have been frequent thefts from unsecured mailboxes, including footage capturing a person using a trolley to steal as much as possible.
To prevent further incidents, the committee took proactive measures to improve both security and accessibility. These upgrades aim to safeguard your mail, reduce theft risks, and enhance peace of mind for all residents.
Main challenge for the Committee:
The journey to completing the Wills Foyer Project faced several key challenges. Initially conceived over a decade ago, the project encountered delays due to the complexity involved in getting owners in the building on the same page. Rising construction costs over the years added resulted in reassessing funding options.
When our team began collaborating with the committee two years ago, there was a need to streamline the process. The committee successfully navigated critical decisions, including the appointment of Angelucci Architects to finalize practical and aesthetic plans, passing resolutions on equitable funding splits between Owners Corporations, and carefully selecting a reliable builder to execute the renovations efficiently and effectively. These proactive steps by the committee ultimately overcame prior setbacks, leading to the project’s successful completion.
